Diocese of La Crosse is looking for a Cook and
Housekeeper. Hours will be scheduled from 7:00 am
to 7:30 pm Monday thru Saturday, approximately 20
hours per week. Wage ranges from $7.00 to $13.00

FULL-TIME DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE FOR
COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Diocese of La Crosse is currently seeking a
director for the Office of Communications and Public
Relations. The communications director will be in
charge of external and internal communication within
the curia offices and will also act as liaison with
all the parishes of the diocese. The communications
director will serve as a spokesperson and the media
contact for the diocese. The individual will also be
responsible for public relations, print production
and promotion, photography, video production and
website communication. A wide degree of creativity
and autonomy is expected.
Qualifications: Practicing member of the Catholic
Church who is experienced in external and internal
Catholic Church communications is required. The
successful applicant will rely on extensive
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. Must be able to manage diverse ages and work
with members of the parishes and curia staff.
Excellent written and verbal language skills,
including experience in cross-cultural
communications is necessary. Proficiency in
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, e-mail,
Internet; working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop,
video editing, web management; experience with print
media, ad marketing and social media a plus.
Professional Experience: Strong public speaking,
writing and editing skills, including proven
experience producing clear and concise materials.
Good time management and organizational skills with
attention to details and problem-solving. Will have
demonstrated a successful record of accomplishments
in program development and management.
Experience in strategic planning and implementation;
developing and overseeing budgets with an ability to
follow established policies and procedures.
Commitment to collaborating with peers, colleagues
and others to achieve mission, goals and objectives.
Related experience in a Catholic diocese, Catholic
organization or religious community setting is
needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with at
least five years of experience in the field.

SUPERINTENDENT OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
The
Superintendent of Catholic Schools assists the
Diocesan Bishop in the planning, implementation and
evaluation of Catholic education programs in
diocesan elementary and secondary schools. The
Superintendent carries out a pivotal role in the
work of the seven unified Catholic school systems.
The Superintendent collaborates with the Director
of the Office for Catechesis and Evangelization in
the operation of the Department of Catholic
Education; monitors compliance of diocesan Catholic
schools with diocesan policies and issues directives
for their application; provides consultation to
parishes and deaneries on the administrative
organization of Catholic schools; and assists local
pastoral authorities in the recruitment and hiring
of administrators of Catholic schools. The
Superintendent gives final approval to the hiring of
all administrators. Qualifications: a person in
full communion with the Catholic Church; graduate
degree in educational administration, with related
studies in sacred theology; teaching and
administrative experience in Catholic schools; the
ability to drive a car and the possession of a valid

STEWARDSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
The Director of the Office of
Stewardship and Development assists the Diocesan
Bishop in the work of development for the diocese.
Principal responsibilities and activities include
implementing and evaluating development policies and
practices of the diocese; conducting programs to
promote the understanding and practice of Christian
stewardship in the diocese; providing to diocesan
institutions consultation on marketing, public
relations, recruitment, endowment trusts, foundation
grants and estate planning; planning and conducting
diocesan stewardship programs, and assisting
diocesan institutions in planning stewardship
programs; and planning and coordinating the
activities of the Diocesan Annual Appeal.
Qualifications are knowledge of the Catholic
theology of stewardship and experience with the
Catholic Church; a bachelor’s degree in business or
marketing; experience in the planning and
implementation of development programs; strong
written and oral communication skills;
administrative, organizational and supervisory
skills and experience; the ability to drive a car
and the possession of a valid driver’s license. The
