The Diocese of La Crosse offers three options for Natural Family Planning (NFP) instruction. Each of these options involves guidance from a trained NFP instructor who will offer you feedback as you learn and help you interpret your charts as you apply the rules to use Natural Family Planning.

There are three modes of NFP instruction. The first is an online class completed entirely on the Internet. The second mode happens through paper correspondence. This is a combination of printed home study materials and follow-up with your instructor. The face-to-face mode involves attending classes at a local hospital where an instructor will share the class material via PowerPoint and various learning activities.

All three modes will connect you to a certified instructor that is assigned to you. Communication with your instructor is critical to the complete understanding and correct application of NFP in your life. It is your responsibility to stay in touch with your instructor.

Take the course online
Clicking this link will take you to a registration form through which you can register for an online class offered through Northwest Family Services (NWFS) in conjunction with the Diocese of La Crosse. You will then be enrolled in a class with a specific instructor from our diocese. A notification email sent to you from NWFS will let you know when you can start the online course.

Take the course through paper correspondence

FACE to FACE CLASSES

If you would prefer to learn about NFP in a class format with an instructor present, consider enrolling in one of our classroom style series. In order to complete the instruction, attendance at all classes in each series is required. Below is the list of scheduled classes with locations, dates and times.

Chippewa Falls Classes will be held at St. Joseph Hospital in McDonald Hall.

2009 Fall Session: 7:00 – 9:00 PM, October 13, October 27, November 10

Eau Claire Classes will be held at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tracey Hall.

2009 Summer Session: 7:00 – 9:00 PM, August 11, August 25, September 15

La Crosse Classes are held in the Lang Conference Rm. at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center.

Series 1: February 21, March 7, March 28

Series 2: May 2, May 16, June 6

All classes are in the Lang conference room.

Marshfield Classes will be held at St. Joseph Hospital in the St. Joseph/ St. Claire conference rooms

2010 dates: March 16^th, March 30^th and April 13^th

Mauston Classes will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish.

Class dates will be set based on demand. Please call 800-255-6226 with your inquiries.

Sparta Classes will be held at Franciscan Skemp in Sparta in the St. Francis Room.

Stevens Point Classes will be held at St. Michael’s Hospital

Wausau Classes will be held at St. Clare’s Hospital in the Conference Center.

2010 Sessions will be February 6th, February 18th & March 4th.
