A member of a Faith Alive group at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia

serves at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission and Thrift Store

Sister Rosemary Rombalski writes:

The Faith Alive group at Holy Family Parish frequently comments about our "lived faith."  The theme "God's work through our hands" encapsulates our belief in Jesus’ words, "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and act on it."  The Mission/Thrift Store at Holy Family gives us opportunities to put our faith into action as we reach out to the needs of others.

The Mission/Thrift Store was begun a few years ago as I started taking care of the needs of, in particular, the babies of our Hispanic families.  When we recognized that the former convent needed a mission, we became a big Mission/Thrift Store to service the needs of people in this area.  You will note that we are open three days a week and are staffed by volunteers whom I coordinate.  Our mission is very alive and keeps growing.  We have served many people from this area and as far away as Stanley and Eau Claire.  God has blessed our call to reach out to others.
