Chicken Soup for the Homeless
Our faith-sharing program is
starting to have an impact beyond the Diocese of La
Crosse, as we can see in the following email that was
received on April 3, 2008. The author, Barb Macpherson,
writes from St. Boniface parish in Germantown, which is
in the Diocese of Superior.
At St. Boniface our women’s
ministry group completed the Lenten program and
discussed the joy of growing together in Christ. The
women were amazed at the program’s bringing together of
Scripture, the Catechism, saint stories, etc. – all the
beauties of our faith. This experience really brought
home the aspect of our Church as a community of
believers. For service, as a group about twenty gallons
of chicken soup was made and brought to Repairers of the
Breach (an organization in Milwaukee). We look forward
to participating in the next program!
