“March
for Life” on January 23, 2012: More than 200
pilgrims from the Diocese of La Crosse will join over a
hundred
thousand pilgrims from around the U.S. for the annual March for Life in
Washington, D.C. Stay tuned for reports in the Catholic
Times and on the diocesan website!

Portage County Right to L!fe will have
their “Walk For L!fe” and Rally on Sunday,
January 29, 2012, sponsored by the Pointers for L!fe.
The walk will start at 2:00pm on the steps of the County
Courthouse (516 Church Street) and end at the University
of Wisconsin Stevens Point Campus University Center
(1015 Reserve Street).
The Rally will begin at 3:30pm in the Laird Room. Our
theme for this year’s Rally is “Human Rights-From
Conception to Natural Death”, and our keynote speaker is
Will Goodman, Servants of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There
will be refreshments and a chance to socialize with
other Pro-Life individuals.
If you are interested in having information displayed
for your organization, the Pointers for L!fe will

There were about 250 people that attended the walk/rally
and we hope to increase that number this year. We look
forward to seeing you at the Right to L!fe Walk/Rally

Prayer
Vigils
The
St. Mary's Oratory Holy Name Society will pray the
Rosary once a month on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. at Family
Planning Health Services. Please call Ron Putzer at
(715) 842-5368 to confirm date.
*This Spring, Wausau
prayers will be participating in the National 40 Days
for Life. We will start with a kick off rally Sunday,
March 6th. The kick off rally will feature Dr. Couri
speaking on: The root of abortion and how it effects our
families; come and learn how we and our teens are being
lied to. We will also share the story of Abby Johnson
and how the peaceful prayers converted her from
executive director of Planned Parenthood to a promoter
of 40 Days for Life Vigil. The rally starts at 2:00 pm
at St. Therese Church, 113 W Kort, Rothchild.
In Wausau, St. Mary’s Holy Name Society has a
prayer vigil at Family Planning Health Services
the third Saturday of every month at 10:45 a.m. Contact

there will be a prayer vigil on Thursdays at 2 p.m. at
Family Planning Health Services.

of Our Lady of Guadalupe has a prayer
vigil every Monday at 4:30 p.m. in Wisconsin
Rapids on 8th Street by the Shopko mall to pray
for the closing of the Planned Parenthood. If
