Project Seed
Project
Seed LLC Helps Local Farmers:
This spring, there will be a sale to
provide area farmers with low-cost, high-quality seed.
There will be alfalfa, and clover ready for sale and
non-GMO seed can be ordered. Comparable yields make
this seed an attractive alternative. The Diocese of
LaCrosse also offers financial assistance to those in
need, so no one is turned away. Donations to help
support Project Seed are welcome and can be sent to the
Diocese of LaCrosse. Check out the
2010

BIOTECHNOLOGY: THREAT OR HOPE?
There is much justifiable concern on the part of many
regarding the usage of biotechnology in particular that
of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). The concern is
two-fold:
1. Is the engineering one of cooperation with God or
manipulation of nature?
2. Does the purchase and usage of GMO seed constitute
cooperation with an unfair monopoly?
While the dialogue and debate of the above two questions
continue, the Diocesan Rural Life Committee has decided
to continue to offer non-GMO seed corn for Project Seed.
