CASA HOGAR JUAN PABLO
II ORPHANAGE
homeajpm.org
Casa Hogar was founded in March of
1986, one year after the founder, Father Joe Walijewski,
of the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin received a check
of $50,000.00 from Pope John Paul II for the
construction of Casa Hogar.
After 14 years of living his
vision, Father Joe passed the directorship of Casa Hogar
onto Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk, also from the
Diocese of La Crosse. Under Father Sebastian’s
leadership, Casa Hogar has expanded its services to
consulting, organizing and hosting international medical
missions as well as various outreach services.
The Girls & Boys Town Program was
implemented in 2000 with the purpose of raising the
children to be well-rounded and responsible
citizens. This program is based upon the following five
components:

∙ Teaching Social Skills
∙ Helping Build Healthy
Relationships
∙ Empowerment through
Self-government
∙ Fostering Morality and
Spirituality
∙ Providing a Family style
Living Environment
Since the implementation of the
Girls & Boys Town Program, there has been a drastic
change in the children—their self-esteem has risen,
their social skills and grades have improved, their
hygiene has gotten better—they are happy and
well-adjusted children despite their unfortunate
background.
